Abstract
Along with the development of big cities in Indonesia, waste problems caused by human activities become a big issue that must be considered. The waste is charged to Final Disposal (TPA) and similar locations. Temperature as an important quality indicator makes it one of the variables that must be monitored in each Landfill. This research used 23 landsat images to understand the spatial and temporal variation of surface temperature in landfill within 2013 - 2016 as 4 year period. Variables such as Vegetation density using NDVI, multi image analysis with seasonal classification, and waste volume is used to understand the variation. Results of this study showed there is a relationship between surface temperature with vegetation indice, whereas found a significant high temperature value in August with the classification of dry season. Spatial patterns of temperature are found at certain waste dump sites within the disposal area with high trends value compared to other heap location of landfill's site. It is also found that the overall landfill temperature is relatively higher than the surrounding area.
