Abstract

A study of the conservation of medicinal plants was undertaken in a residential area (leuweung), rivers (cai), and fields (huma) in Cibeo society. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of medicinal plants known and utilized by the Cibeo society. This research was conducted from September 2017 to January 2018. Data collection was performed by semi-structured, close-ended and open-ended questions, vegetation analysis and free-tracking interviews. Data were analyzed descriptively. This study found around 54 species of medicinal plants consisting of 14 species in the residential area, 29 species in river areas and 26 species in fields. These species of medicinal plants have been acknowledged and utilized by Cibeo society.
