Abstract

Introduction: The Prevalence of noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) in Asia has reached 24-89% in 1991-2009. By this high prevalence and multicultural risk as well as effort to prevent quality of life and other complications reduction especially in productive age, more understanding and early management about this disease is needed. NIHL is caused by toxic-dose glutamate in auditoric nerve and also oxidative stress on hair cell.
