Abstract

Dengue is an arthropode-borne viral disease whose clinical manifestations ranged from asymptomatic to severe disease such as dengue shock syndrome. Unusual presentations of dengue infected patients which involve severe organ damage have been increasingly reported. Cardiac involvement in dengue patient may occur during entire course of dengue. Dengue cardiac complications may present as transient-asymptomatic tachy-brady arrhythmia, to fatal cardiogenic shock or malignant arrhythmia that may increase mortality risk. Currently, there is no specific management for cardiac complication due to Dengue infection, as most of the cases may be benign and self-limiting. Early detection and close monitoring are important to improve the prognosis. Here we report a case of dengue hemorrhagic patient with transient sinus bradycardia.
