N2 - The shipping industry in Indonesia continues to multiply the developments as they follow the era, especially for flat plate vessels, one development of the concept of a flat plate ship is a flat plate vessel used for speed boats. The shape of the swift flat plate hull is an example of an aerodynamic shape of the jet aircraft. With the developed speed boats that apply this flat plate, can be a better sea transportation solution for Indonesia. The purpose of the research is to get a fast boat design by using a flat plate hull and know the value of resistance and predict the power value gained and then simulate to get the flow pattern. Simulais CFO carried out using ANSYS Fluent on a fast boat design with a flat plate hull has got results. Based on the simulation results at different speeds, from the speed of 33 to 37 knots, the biggest resistance is 27,683 kN, while the smallest resistance is 22,418 kN. Based on the comparison between the simulations using CFO with the Savitsky and Slender Body methods, the results of the total resistance are different, but seen from the graph, the speed of 33 to 37 Knots both methods has increased. It can be concluded that the method with CFO simulation can be a validation reference.
