N2 - Many organizations have been starting to modify their business models to more focus on digital technology in recent years because digital technology has become a key factor to running a business. This modification is by applying technology to every part of the business. There have been many studies on the role of IT (information technology) is changing business models. However, the research would focus on analyzing the role of IT and its influence on changes in the business model canvas to be the digital business model with the Morphology Ontology approach, especially in government microfinance institutions in Indonesia. ABC is one of the organizations that successfully applied technology to support its business strategy by modifying the business model. We use a qualitative method, we compare the business model in the study case with similar business models in other countries, and then we conducted some interviews to gather the data needed. We evaluate eight drivers in the Business Model Morphology Ontology Elements and described explicitly the alignment between the business model and IT adoption. Our results show digital transformation business model of ABC and the IT impact in ABC new business model, and ultimately have an impact on increasing competitive advantage in terms of client intimacy.
