N2 - Geology students in Indonesia face a high workload on their academic journey. There are indoor and outdoor demanding tasks and assignments that they need to finish in 4 years undergraduate program. From the Psychological Human Factors point of view, this fact triggers students to experience study burnout events. On the other hand, Indonesian students have an auto-coping system called religious life that can be monitored by their spirituality level. Therefore, this study aimed to understand the prevalence of Indonesian Geology students’ burnout and spirituality level and examine the correlation between these variables. The objectives were reached by conducting an online survey to 125 Geology students from Universitas Indonesia. The survey consisted of three parts comprising demographic, burnout level (Maslach Burnout Inventory-SS Indonesian version), and spirituality level part (Daily Spiritual Experiences-Indonesian version). The results show that the mean of burnout and spiritual level are 2.54 and 3.28, respectively. The Pearson test shows that spirituality negatively correlates with burnout level, Emotional Exhaustion or EE, Cynicism or CN, and Academic Efficacy or EF loss. The ANOVA test shows significant effects of sex to spirituality (p<.05), with females having higher spirituality. Year grades significantly affect burnout levels, EE, CN, and EF (p<.05), with longer study periods resulting in higher burnout levels. These findings imply that spirituality is potent in helping students prevent and treat high burnout levels. Research on other influencing factors influencing burnout levels prevention can be the future direction of this work.
