Abstract

Electronic wallet (e-wallet) has become one of the emerging financial technologies. This study aims to analyze the influence of information security on the continued use of e-wallets in Indonesia using the expectation confirmation model (ECM). We involved 522 e-wallet users and processed the data using partial least square equation modeling. The results indicate that information provided, user privacy, encryption, and transaction process affect perceived security. Perceived security affects confirmation and satisfaction and satisfaction influences continuance intention. This study provides user perspectives on security factors to ECM and can be used as a reference for e-wallet providers in evaluating their services.
