Abstract

Impaired physical mobility is the limited physical movement of the body or of one or more extremities. Constraints on physical mobility have an impact on the decline in functional status, so the elderly become dependent. The intervention combination model of Yoga-Range of Motion-Physical Activity is a form of nursing intervention that can prevent and overcome the problem of impaired physical mobility in the elderly. The goals of this study are to provide an overview of the implementation of a combination model integrated into community care and nursing care for the elderly with problems of impaired physical mobility using the integration of theories and models. The one-group pretest-posttest design was used. The results of the study showed that the combination model of Yoga-Range of Motion-Physical Activity significantly decreased impaired physical mobility in the elderly (p=0,000). This intervention model is recommended for the elderly because the sequences have been modified to fit the conditions and can be done individually or in groups.
