Abstract

Enrichment of quercetin from Strobilanthes crispus L. in this study was carried out by ethanol/ammonium sulfate system combined with ultrasonic technology. The optimal partition coefficient (31,179) and recovery (98,043%) of quercetin were obtained in a system composed 33% ethanol (w/w) and 14% (NH4)2SO4 (w/w), 20:1 liquid-to-solid ratio, and extraction temperature of 27°C. Based on concentration and yield, the purity of quercetin increased by 660.88% and 172.89% after involving ATPS, respectively. The use of ATPS obtained 44.717±0,295 mg/L quercetin with a yield of 3.504±0,0231 mg/g.
