Abstract

One of the issues related to green energy is electric vehicles and SPKLU (Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station) which are used for charging electric vehicles. SPKLU is currently being developed and has been built in several places. However, SPKLU creates a phenomenon of power quality, especially harmonics which affects the installed system and equipment (distribution transformer). Therefore, the objective of the research is to measure harmonics in SPKLU with various capacities and types. The research was conducted through simulation and measurement using a power quality analyzer. The results showed that the AC type SPKLU generated a voltage THD in the range of 2.4% - 3.51% and a current THD in the range of 0% - 12.89%. SPKLU DC type generated a voltage THD in the range of 2.49% - 4.22% and a current THD in the range of 3.01% - 8.53%. The highest harmonic spectrum on the voltage and current side was in the 3 rd , 5 th , and 7th order with the highest value of 2.53% on the 5 th order on the voltage side and 19.48% on the 3 rd order on the current side for SPKLU AC type and 2.63% on the 5 th order on the voltage side and 17.23% on the 3 rd order on the current side for DC type SPKLU. The harmonic value of the voltage both in simulation and measurement conditions was within standard limits. On the contrary, current harmonics from the simulation and measurement results values were above the standard. In addition, SPKLU utilization grew positively with the highest contribution of 0.13% in energy sales and 0.17% in revenue.
