abstract = "An alternate source of energy that has the potential to be developed and can be an alternative fuel is bioethanol. Bioethanol mixture will make the fuel more difficult to burn by itself so that the pressure generated in the combustion chamber will be more consistent. This research was conducted to analyze the effect of using a mixture of bioethanol E10 with the modification of using oxygenated cyclooctanol by 0.3%; 0.5%; and 1.3% to the fuel emissions released namely CO, CO2, HC, O2 and its relation to the Coefficient of Variations. The results showed that the increasing percentage of oxygenated cyclooctanol additives caused CO and HC values to decrease while CO2 and O2 values increased. The smallest Coefficient of Variations value that is 5% was also produced by a mixture of E10 + 1.3% oxygenated cyclooctanol at 8500 rpm. This shows that the addition of oxygenated cyclooctanol additive has a good effect on the production of exhaust emissions. The reduction in Coefficient of Variations also has an impact of making the combustion process more consistent and has a good effect on the resulting emissions produced. ",
