The Economic Analysis of Configuration for Charging Station Electrical Vehicles with Supplied from Floating PV in Urban City: Study Case in Jakarta

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the economic aspect of implementing charging stations with sources of energy from floating PV in an urban city, Jakarta. Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia, with 97 reservoirs with a total area of 509.37 hectares. The research location is in Pluit reservoir where it is the largest reservoir in Jakarta with a total area is 77.32 hectares. The simulation shows that Charging Station using floating PV standalone with connecting to PLN utility Grid is the most optimization, with an LCoE value of ${\$}$0.054S per kWh and a Net Present Cost (NPC) value of ${\$}$2,09 Million. The government can also consider this to build a charging station by utilizing a large reservoir in Jakarta, where, this planning involves urban planning planners in collaboration with related agencies such as the Jakarta Water Resources Service and PLN (Perusahaan Listrik Negara).
