title = "Terahertz Propagation Investigation of Terahertz Imaging on A Cancer Object",
abstract = "Cancer is one of the most challenging diseases in the world. Cancer mortality can be reduced with early detection; hence, when cancer is detected in its early stages, there is a higher chance of recovery. Terahertz technology offers a potential solution for creating a cancer imaging technique, leveraging its benefits. Cancer imaging techniques have been developed to establish terahertz imaging systems. Nevertheless, limited studies still explore the propagation phenomenon of terahertz radiation. This research investigates terahertz propagation for cancer imaging by simulating various system scenarios. The results reveal several phenomena, including wave diffraction and interference, significantly impacting the imaging outcomes. Among the simulated scenarios, the most optimal configuration is achieved with an 11.5 mm source-to-object distance and a 1.5 mm sensor-to-object distance, with a standard deviation 12.327. This research serves as a valuable reference for the development of terahertz imaging systems in the future.",
