STUDY OF THE THREAT OF RADICALISM AND GLOBAL TERRORISM IN THEASTANA ANYAR BOMBING EVENT

Abstract

Suicide bombings used by terrorists supporting Islamic State are active again from 2022 to 2024 with the target of attacks by government officials and the Indonesian National Police headquarters, especially the Astana Anyar Sector Police case. The purpose of this study is to categorize the threat of radicalism and global terrorism that reactivates suicide bomb terror attacks in Indonesia. The method used in this study is qualitative with a multiple case study approaches globally, regionally and nationally related to the Astana Anyar Bomb case. The results of this study showed: first, the reactivation of Islamic State (IS) terrorists threatens government officials and the Indonesian National Police due to cases of global acts of terrorism. Second, the resistance of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) against the perpetrators of terror acts led to the suicide bombing at the Astana Anyar Police Station as a result of the influence of the change of caliph Abdullah Qardash as the leader of the Islamic State (IS) Global. Third, the Indonesian government's strategy will carry out three strategies, namely First, the combination of Intelligence, Diplomacy and Operations: Second, improve deterrence, enforcement and recovery; and third, the Thickening of the Security Apparatus on the Border and the Alliance with the Malaysian and Philippine states. The conclusion of this paper is that acts of radicalism and terrorism continue to hate western bloc countries, including the United States and its allies.
