N2 - Biopesticides essential oil-based can be used as a protective alternative to pest attacks. Clove essential oil proven have the ability of insecticides, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. However, essential oils exhibit high volatility, and rapidly lose their compound when exposed to the atmosphere and are sensitive to the degradation of light, heat, oxygen, and have a short shelf life. The purpose of this study was to enhance ability essentials oil by an effective technique encapsulation which used to design products with controlled release properties that extend the functionality of essential oil products, thus providing protection, reducing evaporation and degradation. This study uses casein as encapsulator of essentials oil, eugenol. The product was characterized by means GC-Headspace, FTIR, TEM, and PSA. The previous researcher has conducted a study using casein micelle encapsulation has the best performance with an efficiency of 79.64%. The result show the loading capacity of eugenol micelle casein with spray dry method equal to 57,27% with an efficiency of encapsulation 87,99%. Therefore, this study will be carried out a controlled release test, acute toxicity test and pesticide activity test of microencapsulation eugenol with casein micelle.
