Abstract

The product title in an e-commerce platform has a significant role in attracting consumers’ attention to the product. Poor quality of a product title needs to be improved, leading to a need for text structuring on the product title. This research proposes an approach to structure e-commerce product titles that are written in code-switched style, i.e. a pipeline method that consists of four modules; chunking, language identification, promotion words identification, and reformation. The model used in the first three modules involves the Conditional Random Field model. The experiment is carried out to test the robustness of the pipeline system. The results showed the 49,14% for the WER and 82,61% for the BLEU score.
