Abstract

This paper describes a simulation method using state space event based model for simulating a power electronic system. State-space models are derived from equivalent circuits depend upon the switch events. From each switch event, one state space model is built. Simulation of the state space models are run in sequence which are selected by the switch events. The simulation is realized using CMEX s-function in Matlab-Simulink. Result shows that the system model can be accurately simulated using this method. Simulation of a complicated power electronics system can be realized using the state space event based model.
