N2 - Smart cities have work areas, including smart waste management. This is supported by interviews with the Deputy for Green and Digital Transformation of the New National Capital City of Indonesia Authority. To accomplish sustainable waste management objectives, waste processing from upstream to downstream requires infrastructure such as efficient waste collection and transportation systems, modern recycling plants, and advanced waste treatment technology. This research aims to provide planning related to smart waste management for the New National Capital City of Indonesia. Methodologies used qualitative data collection by conducting interviews and document studies using Systematic Literature Review (SLR). It discovered that people, process, and technology have important roles in planning smart waste management in the New National Capital City of Indonesia. In this study, we only looked at the component of the process that dealt with waste management. The result recommends various technologies for waste treatment. This research contributes theoretically, namely, the existence of an intelligent system design that supports environmental sustainability through waste management. This research proposes a practical contribution, namely providing planning for intelligent waste management for the New National Capital City of Indonesia from upstream to downstream.
