Abstract

Government plans to expand electricity distribution in rural areas, hence demand of steel electric pole in Indonesia is expected to increase. There should be prudent companies to supply steel electric pole from manufacturer to site in rural areas. In fact, none of these companies who can handle this incoming order on schedule since there is no any distribution centre built yet. In order to solve this issue, distribution centre should be built to speed up distribution of steel electric pole. The aim of this study is to identify the important factor in the site selection of distribution centre to minimize delay of order fulfilment from steel electric pole. This study uses fish bone diagram to determine delay cause of order fulfilment and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to identify the important factor in the site selection of distribution centre. Result of this study prioritize criteria the best site of distribution centre.
