Abstract

The previously constructed isobar model for kaon photoproduction in the KΛ channel can explain experimental data in two isospin channels, K+Λ and K0Λ. This model was developed by including the latest experimental data obtained from the CLAS collaboration. Particle Data Group (PDG) has just released the latest nucleon resonances list, one of them is the P11(2100) resonance. Considering the presence of this new resonance in the model it is hoped that the agreement between theoretical model and experimental data would improve. It was found that the present model (Model A) shows a better performance than the old model (Model B). However, contribution of the new nucleon resonance is not too significant, as indicated by the small improvement in the value of χ2/N.
