Abstract

The advancement of science and technology becomes a positive necessity if its application is precise and accurate. Beginning with constructive reading habits through library pioneers introduced through creative and fun approaches, Merah Putih smart home program which has been implemented in Desa Paking introduced e-DDC system as an international standard technology to facilitate citizens of Indonesia-Malaysia border in North Kalimantan is in managing the library as a source of world window for the local community. The process is done using PRA method (Participatory Rural Appraisal), a method that involves local community directly and masiv in the implementation of this program that is community of Kepala Kampung, PKK, Karang Taruna, ect, as a form of regeneration for continuous program. Nerah Putih smart home program includes: 1) Mini Library; 2) reading and writting; 3) Drawing and Coloring, 4) Storytelling, 5) Clean and Healthy Behavior Training, 6) Singing and Dancing, 7) Competition of gmaes and play, 8) Smart Home Cadre Training for local residents. Therefore, the results measured in the program are behavioral changes toward positive through the implementation of science and technology in Paking Village as the concentration of the Merah Putih smart home Program Universitas Indonesia achievement.
