The Ombay village on the island of Pantar bordering the country of East Timor became one of the reasons for the establishment of smart homes. The first Smart Home was initiated to give birth to other smart homes both in Alor District and other Indonesian territories. The naming of Ombay Village for All Smart Home aims to improve thinking ability, reading, writing, arithmetic, imagining and creating children, adolescents and adults through reading, writing, counting, storytelling, watching movies and playing. In addition, this Smart House can be beneficial to the community and become a meeting place for citizens of all ages, so as to create citizen integration that leads to the solidarity and unity of citizens independently. It is expected that smart homes will also be a pilot project for Alor District Government to set up other smart houses throughout the village. The Partispatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method is used by involving local communities such as youth associations, gathering groups (majlistaklim), community leaders, religious leaders, village heads, sub-district heads.
