REPRESENTASI PROFESIONALISME PUSTAKAWAN DALAM MENGELOLA PERPUSTAKAAN PADA FILM PENDEK PROJECT: LIBRARY

[Title: Representation of Librarian Professionalism in Managing Library Based on Short Film Project: Library] This research discusses the representation of librarian professionalism in managing the library in the short film titled Project: Library. This research aims to identify the representation of librarian professionalism in managing libraries in films through the semiotic method. The results of this research indicate that in syntagmatic analysis, this film uses the advanced flow and professionalism of librarians to overcome the library from bankruptcy problems and embezzlement of funds in 13 sequences of 23 main sequences. Paradigmatic analysis shows that professionalism in 3 librarian figures has the value of openness and cooperation. The conclusion shows that the librarian's professionalism is represented as a librarian who is weak in understanding the function of fines, which is not seen as a means of disciplining users in returning collections, but is considered a source of income to prevent bankruptcy. But professionalism is also represented that by applying professional ethics, librarians are able to prevent them from being negative, so that in the end they can reveal the truth.
