N2 - Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN) as a smart city is expected to be an effective and efficient technology-based city to support all the activities of the city's residents. One of the technology priorities implemented to IKN as a smart city is smart building management in urban systems. This research aims to provide system recommendations for smart buildings as residences in the IKN. In this research the method used was qualitative by studying documents related to regulations issued by the government or news related to IKN and conducting interviews. The system recommended in this study is the result of a mapping between the relationship between drivers and systems in smart buildings and the needs for implementing smart buildings in IKN. The drivers were selected based on the results of interviews and government regulations which stated that the main focus in the construction of smart buildings in the IKN is energy and health. The two drivers have the most potential relationship with the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system, lighting system, and fire detection system. Therefore, the recommendations given in this study are designs of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system, lighting system, and fire detection system. This research can provide recommendation in accordance with the goals of IKN as a low emission city and care about the health of tenants.
