N2 - This paper presents an idea in the context of multicasting: it is to manage QoS with a certain level of hazard. The Xcast and IPv6 are used in the context of IPTV which is a contestable choice since the number of user could be high regarding the size of the packet header. In large IPTV network, even an IPTV stream with a small number of subscribers could have hundreds of them. Moreover if Xcast stream is used for session with a very small number of users, it is necessary to consider concurrence multicast flow using normal multicast routing scheme. Simulation results using NS3 shows that the proposed QoS mechanism has a good performance in term of throughput.
