Abstract

This research aimed to describe the public evaluation on
the access to the information concerning the new student
enrollment process in senior high schools (SMA) in Depok
municipality in the academic year of 2007/2008. Data were
collected using a questionnaire. Sample (N=285) was recruited
using the cluster random sampling technique from all classes in
all schools in the area. Findings suggested that 1) most
students got access to the information from teachers or
schools, 2) students still could not get access to information
related to the conversion value added to the UAN score for
those who were considered high achieving students in either
Depok Municipality level or national level, with the value range
of 3 to 7.5, and 3) the use of Internet to deliver enrollment
information was still limited, particularly due to the limited
ability of the human resources and technology
