Production of Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) by isolate bacteria of TPK5b2: Various of pH medium conditions

Abstract

Indole-3-Acetic Acid (IAA) known as an important growth hormone that some microorganism can produce it. Bacteria is one of microorganism which can produce IAA such as isolate TPK5b2 were isolated from paddy rhizosphere and culture collection of Agriculture Microbiology Laboratory. The aim of this study was to determined the optimum pH for IAA production by isolate TPK5b2. IAA production by isolate TPK5b2 was measured using a colorimetric method based on absorbance in UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. The highest IAA concentration by isolate TPK5b2 showed in pH 7.00 with IAA concentration 17.491±1.70 μg/mL after 72 hours incubation instead of the other treatment.
