N2 - Mangrove ecotourism is a form of sustainable tourism that supports conservation and increases local people's income. Cilebar and Tempuran sub-districts in Karawang Regency have a fairly extensive mangrove forest covering Pusakajaya Utara Village, Mekarpohaci Village, Tanjungjaya Village, and Sumberjaya Village. This study aims to analyze the potential of mangrove ecotourism in the coastal villages of Cilebar and Tempuran Subdistricts by paying attention to land suitability and distance from settlements. This research uses the descriptive spatial analysis method with field surveys and literature studies assisted by remote sensing. Mangrove ecotourism suitability includes biophysical, conservation, and accessibility aspects, then the distance from the settlement based on the ecological design concept. This study indicates that the Coastal District of Cilebar and Tempuran has two categories of mangrove ecotourism potential. The potential for mangrove ecotourism with a very potential classification is in Pusakajaya Utara Village and Sumberjaya Village. The classification is the minor potential classification is in Mekarpohaci dan Tanjungjaya Village. Areas that can become mangrove ecotourism based on conservation principles will achieve the sustainability of mangrove ecosystem functions for the welfare of the community.
