Abstract

The use of fairy shrimp (Streptocephalus spp.) as a live feed for aquaculture is not well-known in Indonesia. On top of that, fairy shrimp mostly portrayed incorrectly in Indonesia as an unwanted creature and should be prevented in fish ponds. This review highlights the importance of fairy shrimp Streptocephalus spp. as an alternative live feed as well as explore the potential application and suitability for its future implementation in Indonesian aquaculture industry.
