The demand to enhance anterior teeth esthetics is increasing and may be fulfilled with porcelain laminate veneers (PLV). PLV may be used to mask discoloration or improve the esthetics of unfavorably shaped and positioned teeth and have many advantages, including satisfactory esthetics, abrasion resistance, and color stability. This case report describes the use of software as a conceptual tool in designing a patient's smile to improve esthetics with prosthodontic treatment. A 33-year-old female presented with unfavorably proportioned and yellowish maxillary anterior teeth and wanted to improve the esthetics of her smile. PLV were fabricated for teeth #14-#24. VisagiSMile software was used to analyze the patient's new smile design. This conceptual tool can design new smiles for patients according to their personality, including psychosocial factors that affect patients' emotions, sense of identity, behavior, and self-esteem, can facilitate communication and visualization between the dentist and patient, and can provide detailed descriptions of esthetic smile designs to the laboratory. However, some factors, such as patient consent for an invasive pre-prosthodontic procedure or one requiring a longer time at a greater cost, should be considered.
