title = "Phase-Shifting Method with Dy11 Transformer to Reduce Harmonics",
abstract = "Harmonics is the biggest challenge for providing electric power quality. Harmoncs can take place in any electricity sector, which is generated by the operation of nonlinear loads, or the operation of electric motors. Hospitals are electricity consumers who require an excessive level of power quality. But the hospital is further a harmonic contributor because of the adoption of health electronic devices it employs. If the equipment at the hospital is delivered with unsatisfactory quality, later the performance of the equipment at the hospital will deteriorate. This research purposes to reduce the harmonics carried out by shifting the phase by 30° using the Dy11 transformer. The research is concentrated on eliminating the dominant harmonic order at the Point of Common Coupling (PCC). The results obtained after simulating with ETAP is the level of harmonics has a reduction of 2.58%. This is precipitated by the 5th order and the 7th order to be diminished owing to phase shifting by the Transformer.",
