Feminists themselves believe that male identity (the self), thought and mind have been formed to fight women or the “others”. This belief has resulted injustice and oppression of women, or more accurately called patriarchal oppression. Resistance to patriarchal domination is reflected in the poem named Potret (Portrait) of Oka Rusmini's work. This poem is divided into seven parts. Each part of the poem symbolizes the process of feminine writing which aimed to creating a history of women (herstory). The patriarchal inequality and dark history were opposed by Oka Rusmini by showing the practice of feminine writing (écriture feminine). The words described in Oka Rusmini's poem is transformed into a weapon for the feminist struggle. The poem is telling of the feminine writing process to create herstory history.
