Penggunaan Konsep Digital Smile Design Dalam Crown Lengthening Untuk Estetik (Case Report)

The concept of creating a beautiful smile has progressed. An evaluation applied to produce better aesthetics, one way to use the digital recording medium with teeth adapted to face design. Crown lengthening procedure is surgery that aims to obtain an adequate tooth structure in the case of the short crown the for passive eruption. Objective: This case report aims to present the use of the concept of Digital Smile Design (DSD) through innovative technical stages in patients who require crown lengthening in order to get a better smile. Case report: A 37-year-old female patient presents with small front tooth shape and want to form teeth look better. DCD concept determining the appropriate steps so that the patient has a harmonious smile. Preparation of wax-up as the initial stage us converted to acrylic resin form as a guide crown lengthening and restoration od the crown to get the most form a harmonious smile. Result: A beautiful smile is a part of aesthetics for the patient, by applying the concept of DSD supported by the results of wax-up right, the level of patient satisfaction to change the appearance of the tooth shape is achieved. Conclusion: Digital Smile Design concept can be used in cases of crown lengthening in order to achieved a satisfactory aesthetic result.
