Abstract

Introduction: Cultural elements greatly influence the health seeking behavior of stroke patients. The accuracy of health seeking in stroke patients is important because stroke is an emergency disease that requires immediate treatment. Objective: The study aims to determine the influence of cultural elements on health seeking behavior in stroke patients. Methods: The study used a systematic review method using PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis). Researchers used four search engines in collecting articles, namely ProQuest, ScienceDirect, Scopus, and EBSCO. The keywords for searching articles are "Culture", "Health Seeking Behavior", and "Stroke Patients". The articles obtained were 353 articles and 5 articles were reviewed in this study. Results: Cultural elements have a effect on health seeking behavior in stroke patients. There are several cultural elements that influence health seeking behavior in stroke patients. Conclusion: There is a influence between cultural elements on health seeking behavior in stroke patients. It takes a strategic approach through cultural elements to improve the accuracy of health seeking behavior in stroke patients so that stroke emergencies can be treated immediately.
