Abstract
Introduction: Each individual must pass through the stages of development to achieve optimal psychosocial development. This developmental phase runs continuously, where failure in one phase will affect the development of the individual throughout his life. modality therapy is needed that can maximize the achievement of adolescent developmental tasks as a promotive and preventive effort. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of Therapeutic Group Therapy (TKT) on the readiness to increase aspects and achievement of adolescent developmental tasks. Methods: This study used the Quasy-experimental method with pretest-posttest. Respondents are 55 teenagers who live in one of the Kelurahan in Bogor City. Data was collected by measuring aspects and tasks of adolescent development before and after being given TKT. TKT is given through 5 therapy sessions with a duration of 60 minutes each session per week. Statistical analysis on the characteristics of respondents in this study used descriptive analysis, while the effect of TKT was analyzed using dependent t-test. Result: After the TKT, there was a significant increase in aspects of adolescent development (p value 0.012) and an increase in the achievement of adolescent developmental tasks by 8.8-10 points (P value 0.011). Conclusion: TKT is proven to be effective and can be recommended as one of the therapeutic modalities in improving aspects and achieving adolescent developmental task.
