The The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of society participation in development in the form of Musrenbang (Meeting for development planning) to local government performance in Java island. This study uses secondary data from various sources such as Ministry of Internal Affair database, center for statistical bureau and other valid sources for local government entity data/informations. This research used panel data and regression equation with multivariate for research model This Research finds effect of society participation in development in the form of Musrenbang (Meeting for development planning) to local government performance in Java island is negative significant, contrary for variable control human development indexed has positive significant effect for java Island local government performance.
