Abstract
Concentration of hospitals in urban areas makes uneven access to health services for residents in rural areas because the distance to the hospital is far from where you live in seeking treatment. The higest drop-out rate for pulmonary TB patients in Purbalingga District is in Goeteng Taroenadibrata Hospital. The purpose of study was to determine the effect of distance to health care facilities on the default occurrence of pulmonary TB patients at Goeteng Taroenadibrata Hospital in Purbalingga 2018-2019. Methods analytic observational epidemiological research using a case control study approach. Comparison of case groups and control groups (1: 1) the total number of cases was 29 cases and those who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were 28 cases so that the number of samples obtained was 56 with details of 28 cases and 28 controls. Result study he results of the bivariate analysis were related Significant between the distance of the house to the hospital with the occurrence of default, OR = 3.262 p = 0.0321. Multivariate analysis can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the distance of the house with the default OR = 5.21 p = 0.012 which means there is a significant relationship between the distance of the house and the hospital after being controlled by gender confounding variables. Conclusion there is a significant relationship between distance house to hospital with default occurrences.
