PEMANFAATAN TEKNOLOGI TELEHEALTH PADA PERAWAT DI LAYANAN HOMECARE (THE UTILIZATION OF TELEHEALTH TECHNOLOGY BY NURSES AT HOMECARE SETTING)

Indonesia is an archipelago that has difficulty impact to access health service in the remote area. This condition has caused the low awareness of health in public. Telehealth is one of the solutions to the equal distribution of health service in Indonesia. Telehealth can be applied to virtual communication between nurses and patients. Telehealth’s system uses internet with video conference system, SMS (Short Message System), email, and traditional phone. Nurses are one of health professionals to use telehealth for continuity of nursing care and holistic care in homecare. This article expected to describe the benefit of telehealth. This research method used literature review. Telehealth has effected to increase the civil health status, then can increase nurse’s skill about health care. There are have incompletely about distribution network that can be threat for government to develop the telehealth. The government should do the collaboration with other sectors that concern to develop the telehealth, so civil’s health to be achieved.
