Abstract
Background. Partially hydrolyzed formula can reduce the risks and prevent for allergy disease in the longterm period. Objective. To know the effectivity of partially hydrolyzed formula in preventing allergy disease. Methods. Literature search using electronic data base: Pubmed, Cochrane, and Highwire. Results. In all studies showed that the incidence of AD and/or atopic manifestations was decreased. At 3 years follow-up, cumulative incidence of AD was significantly lower among infants who received partially hydrolyzed formula compared to those who get the intact protein cow's milk group. Conclusion. Partially hydrolyzed formula is effective to reduce the risk of developing AD at 1 years old and longterm as well
