Abstract

Emotional regulation affects the social interaction as well as the continuity of teaching and learning activities in schools. In preschool children the ability of emotional regulation is strongly influenced by the surrounding environment in the home and school environment. Emotion Regulation Training Preschoolers (3-4 years old) are interventions conducted at school and at home by involving teacher and parent roles. Participants (n = 9) were preschoolers (3-4 years old) given intervention in the form of emotion course and shared book reading. Emotion course is one of the sessions adapted from the Emotion-based Preventive Intervention program that teaches children to learn and practice the introduction, naming, activation, regulation, and emotional use. Shared book reading using picture book with the theme of basic emotion made with attention to developmental theory and peculiarity of Indonesian children aged 3-4 years. This research has been through the process of ethical review.
