Partial wave analysis of kaon electroproduction on the nucleon

Abstract

We have analyzed recent kaon photo- and electroproduction data by using a partial-wave analysis approach. To this end, the scattering amplitude can be expanded in terms of the partial waves with angular momentum up to l = 11. Both photo- and electroproduction data were analyzed simultaneously by including a number of nucleon resonances listed by the Particle Data Book. We use a variety of electromagnetic form factors to extend the photoproduction model to the finite Q2 region. The result shows a good agreement with the available experimental data in both photo- and electroproduction cases.
