Abstract
Language development is a crucial aspect of a child’s overall growth. It influences a child’s response to commandsand can be supported through high-quality interactions between parents and children. This study aims to assess theeffectiveness of an intervention using the Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) approach in enhancing the quality ofparent-child interactions, improving the child’s language development, and the child’s responsiveness to commands.The research involved an intervention with a 4-year-old girl exhibiting suboptimal language development, following apsychological assessment. The findings indicate that PCIT is effective in improving the quality of interactions betweenmother and child, supporting the child’s language development, and enhancing the child’s responsiveness to commands.
