title = "Optimizing Energy Yield: A Comparative Study of North and East-Facing Vertical Bifacial Photovoltaic Modules in Indonesia",
abstract = "A bstract-Bifacial photovoltaic module is a photovoltaic technology that can absorb solar radiation from both sides of the module (front and rear) which aims to increase the efficiency of the photovoltaic module. In general, photovoltaic modules are installed at a tilt or horizontally, the disadvantages of which include the accumulation of dust and dirt on the surface of the photovoltaic module, less efficient use of space and higher maintenance requirements. In this paper, an evaluation of the power generation of bifacial photovoltaic modules installed vertically in tropical climates such as Indonesia was carried out. Where a comparison of the PV facing (azimuth direction) between those facing east and those facing north was carried out. The results of the study showed that the maximum power of bifacial photovoltaic facing north reached 224.8 W during the day, while those facing east had a maximum power generation of 201.4 W in the morning. Overall, the power generation of bifacial photovoltaic facing north was higher than that facing east with an average generation efficiency of 5.93 % and 4.58% respectively.",
