Morphological and magnetic properties of La0.7Sr0.2Ba0.1Mn1- xNixO3 (x = 0 and 0.1) perovskite

Abstract

La0.7Sr0.2Ba0.1Mn1-xNixO3 (x = 0 and 0.1) perovskite was successfully prepared using sol-gel method. Morphological and magnetic properties were investigated. Crystal structure of the sample show rhombohedral structure and R-3c space group and samples have formed a single phase without any impurities. SEM-EDS characterization shows changes in grain size and confirms the composition of each element of samples. Nickel doped causes decrease in grain size, the grain size of the sample without nickel doped is 1.829 μ m and with nickel doped is 0.643 μ m. Hysteresis curves show the nickel-doped decreased magnetic properties of the sample as indicated by a decrease in magnetization saturation value and caused a weakening of double exchange interaction, magnetization saturation value for the sample without nickel doped is 68.796 emu/g and for the sample with nickel doped is 10.099 emu/g.
