Abstract

In this paper, we report our investigation on the moment of inertia and tidal deformation of a quark star in the Eddington-inspired Born Infeld gravity, which has κ and Λc as its parameters. Corresponding to the quark star matter, we use an equation of state (EoS) from either the MIT-Bag model or the CIDDM model. Eight different EoSs are used, four are from variations in the MIT-Bag model, and the rest are from variations in the CIDDM model. We find that the results from the four EoSs from the MIT-Bag model have more significant differences than the results from the CIDDM model. We also find that if we use the observed value of the cosmological constant Λc, it gives no significant difference compared to the standard case in general relativity (TOV GR). On the other hand, κ gives a significant difference compared to the TOV GR case.
