Abstract

Small interfering RNA (siRNA) technology is now available to 'switch off' a target gene. Many studies reported promising results of siRNA in combating viral infection in animals, including avian influenza infection. This review will discuss the molecular pathogenesis and the prospect of siRNA for the therapy of avian influenza infection.
