Abstract
The magnetic properties and exchange couplings of nanocomposite (Nd,Y) 2Fe14B/α-Fe magnets were investigated at low temperatures. These magnets were prepared by mechanical milling. It was found that the Y substitution for Nd in mechanically milled nanocomposite (Nd,Y) 2Fe14B/α-Fe magnets increase the remanence and the maximum energy product at low temperatures.
