Abstract

The influence of the local cooling rate on the magnetic properties is studied by measuring the temperature dependence of the ac susceptibility and hysteresis loops. The anomaly in the susceptibility curve and the kink at low fields in the hysteresis loops disappear by removing the wheel side ribbon surface. 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy also showed some change in the hyperfine field distribution upon removing of the surface.
