Abstract
Introduction: Stunting or shortness of breath is a condition of failure to grow in infants and toddlers as a result of chronic malnutrition and this condition will appear after the child is 2 years old. Basic Health Research Data (Riskesdas) in 2007, the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia was 36.8%, in 2010 it was 35.6%, and in 2013 the prevalence increased to 37.2%, consisting of 18% very short and 19.2%. % short. Riskesdas data for 2018 shows that the prevalence of stunted toddlers in Indonesia is 30.8%. Vitamin A supplementation affects two indicators of child nutrition, namely anemia (categorized into anemia and mild/moderate anemia) and anthropometric failure (stunting, wasting and underweight) in children aged 6–59 months. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between vitamin A consumption and the incidence of stunting Method: research uses the Systematic Literature Review method using 3 tools or journal search engines, namely Embase, ScienceDirect, PubMed and using the PRISMA (Preffered Reporting Item For Systematic Review and Meta Analysis) diagram which was published from 2014 to 2023. Journals obtained A total of 441 journals and 10 journals were reviewed by researchers. Result: 7 out of 10 articles analyzed showed a relationship between Vitamin A consumption and the incidence of stunting, this shows that low micronutrient (Vit A) intake will have a greater risk of stunting Conclusion: toddlers who do not get/consume vitamin A have a greater risk of stuntin.
